The Dena Gregory Scholarship
Allen and Dena Gregory began Cornerstone Church in 1980 and Dena founded Rowlett Christian Academy in 1993. Dena's ministry spanned 27 years of faithful ministry to the families of Cornerstone and RCA. Dena loved working with kids - from babies to teenagers - she could be found dressing like a clown, behind the puppet screen with several different puppets, to teaching Sunday School Classes and RCA Classes - she loved to teach.
Dena passed away December 26, 2007 from kidney failure. The church has walked in the Dallas Kidney Walk for the past 3 years, 2008 - 2010 in her memory. This year we wanted to do something a little more personal to honor her life and her ministry.
The Dena Gregory Scholarship Walk was a fun day!!
All the monies raised from the Walk-A-Thon and tshirt sales will go to the Dena Gregory Scholarship. The DGS is a scholarship for high school seniors who previously/currently attend Cornerstone Church or Rowlett Christian Academy. For more info on the Scholarship, please call 972.475.4403.
